I just got the P-Spec short shifter. I'm going to hook it up when my car is back in one piece. The short shifter is an excellent piece of craftsmanship.

is this work being done to an h22?

any plans for machine work to the head or aftermarket cam(s) (dunno what motor this is for)?

I'm also curious why you chose not to increase displacement slightly since you have the block sitty around already

sorry for the questions...always interested when someone does a serious rebuild =)

I am planning on machining the head and block later on down the line. Cams will come After I have settled things out with my car.

I wanted a standard displacement because if anything goes wrong internally, I can still bore it out a little bit- if its still salvagable.

Majority of what I had done to the car, I had bought. I bought the car, motor swap, turbo and a few other parts. The reason why I am doing this re-build is because my motor fucked up due to an unfortunate situation. The rebuild and misc. project is running me about 6g's. I dont have the money now to do this, but I am borrowing it from my bro. And I will pay him back cash or parts for his car, which he should be getting in a year or two.

I was going to school full time but I couldnt concentrate with a few "problems" in my life. So I am going to work full time, soon enough to pay off my little debt. I've spent about roughly 14-15.5k on performance for my car.

if you think about it, i am about 85% done in having a fully built motor. when the motor is fully built, that is when i want to upgrade my turbo, piping, fuel/ignition/computer etc. once the re-build phase is completed, i am moving on to the interior/exterior of my car after i pay off my dues. it will probably be another year and 3/4 before i attempt to fully build my motor.

i see i see...also one more question...why choose a 2.5 inch downpipe and exhaust pipe instead of 3inches...not sure how much air you'll be pushing through the pipes but usually everyone goes with 3 inches

well...goodluck with your build...i don't see why 12's (or even 11's maybe) won't be possible once you get the head and suspension sorted out =)

the person that welded the downpipe chose the size because i wasnt there when he was making it, and i forgot to specify the size.
