help please... stock HU removal procedures

hi all...

what are the steps to remove our BOSE H/U?

dust.. i saw the pix you had on fotki... but which panels do i need to remove?

thanks for the help in advance ...

Take a small, flat-head screw driver and slowly (and carefully) pry the trim ring that surounds your h/u, storage compartment, clock, and hazard switch. Unplug the hazzard switch and clock.

Then, shine a flashlight under the small storage compartment that located under your h/u. You'll see 2 bolts/screws. Remove the bolts/screws, and the h/u and storage compartment, and mounting bracket will pull out.

Just unplug the wireharness and antenna, and you're good to go!

i got the trim off... but i have a tape deck... so i can't get to the 2 screws like u described.. umm... i think i might have to take apart the console?

Even with the cassette player, I believe you should have enough room below the player to stick in a ratchet (with extension), and remove the 2 bolts.
