ticketed last night

last night I was drivin and saw some friends of mine on the side of the rode, I thought Id pull around to see if they needed some help. Once I turned around and pulled up to their cars, I Cop pulled in behind me, I didnt think anything of it seein that he's here to help with my friends, so i start walkin towards the cars and the cop ask me for my information. I was like for what, well, he gave me a $44 ticket for blue headlights. Then once he finished writing me a ticket, he pulled off, never once tried to see if my friends needed any help. Im sick and tired of these cops pullin me over for BS stuff, Ive been pulled over 4 times in the last 5 months for BS stuff just to take my money.

ohh and the jack up part is that I just foond out that this COP goes to my church, I think I might go have a talk with him!!

u have blue headlights? or HID lookalikes? that is bullshit. Ur not alone. i had my integra 5 years ago when ppl are just starting to soup up cars and got cited for the following.( not at the same stop but during the time of different stops)..which all got dismissed.
1. Unsafe ground clearance (dropped)
2. illegal headlights...(ion blues at the time...didnt have hyperwhites back in the day)
3.no front plate
4.white turn signals not DOT approved color
5. non emmisions legal exhaust ( which is BS..it was just a custom catback w/o resonator)

what u think of those citations..(again this was about 5 years ago.

I have the HID lookalikes, but yeah it is BS, this is the 3rd ticket I got for blue lights,
the 1st & 2nd tickets were valid, but he gave me two at the same time to be a dick,
3rd where white lights that reflected off the blue car, so I have a ticket there
now this one,

but Ive been know as BS tickets, my cop friends says I get the stupidest tickets, (in my civic)
-gottin one for exhaults not being factory
-following behind a cop too closely, haveing 2 car lengths and not 4
-got one for careless driving on a scooter, "weavin in and out of heavy traffic", the scooter tops out at 40mph, go figure
-with clear tail lamps, one red bulb was not as red as the other 3 bulbs,
-blinker was white and not amber

but only have gotten 1 speeding ticket

yeah the fuckin cops around here suck ass
instead of giving people tickets that deserve them they would rather fuck with us! ive gotten a ticket for having my high beams on which they were on for 10 seconds cuz i flashed someone to go in front of me! a friend at work got one for having a headlight out, it had just gone out that night and he was on his way home!
they are such dix they dont want to hear any type of explanation they just want to waste as much of your time as possible and write you up for anything they can think of!
BTW the ticket for high beam was $78 and three points, i took it to court and it was reduced to 0 points and $52.

Ticketed too

I avoided an accident and got a ticket.... the lady in front of me was dragging her muffler down the street... I weaved to miss the fallen muffler and got pulled over by the police sargent that told me I crossed the double yellow line and gave me a 96 dollar ticket.... ain't that some shit?.... I went to court twice over the ticket and ended up losing twice... The judge asked me if I thought he was dumb or something... I started laughing, he through the case out and fined me 180 dollars... So I had 300 bucks rapped into a flarfin ticket...LOL... ooh man, someone is gonna get hurt real bad...

Not that I'm taking the cops side or anything, but the tickets you got are legit. Those thing you have on your car are, in fact, illegal. A cop has every right to ticket you for that and all the things the other people listed.

True, but sometimes it seems cops give tickets just to be dicks - like having headligths with a blueish tint is ever going to hurt anyone. Shouldn't the cops be arresting drug dealers or shaking down seven elevens for a day old doughnut instead of hasseling us, the moral, civil-minded car enthusists?

Move to Illinios its leagal to have completely yellow, amber, and white headlights as well as white is an exceptable turn signal color. I searched Illinois vehical regulations and found out all kinds of crazy stuff. Search your state you would be really surprised what you might find. The yellow headlights did it for me.

I agree that the laws are stupid, but they are still laws. And as much as we hate them there is nothing we can do about it.

Since everyone's venting, I though I'd share. I've been pulled over 19 times without getting one ticket. Everytime, I was pulled over, their primary reason was to see if I was drunk. But just to show you how far cops will go just to pull people over. Only about 10 or 11 of the times were legit i.e., taillight out, tint to dark, etc., and they would let me go cause they would even realize its pointless to ticket for meaningless things. Listen to some of the excuses they gave me for pulling me over. Once, I stopped too quickly on a yellow light to avoid going through a red light. Another time, I was making a U-turn and I didn't put on my blinker to go from the far right lane (which is were I ended up at the end of the U-turn) to the middle lane. The most ridiculous one (I had a jeep at the time), my car was reported a week earlier as being involved in a drive by BB GUN SHOOTING!!! I'd love to get a "GOTBACN" licence plate one day.

True, but look at all the dumb fucking laws that are passed. What the hell does it matter if your headlights are tinted blue, more power to ya. I dont see how that is a distraction to other motorists and the 200 lights on some tractor trailors arent? The system is bullshit

That happened to one of my friends up at school - It was like 2 or 3 am and he was pulling into the SUNY Buffalo campus and a cop pulled him over for not using his turn signal to make a right hand turn - Now granted it is a legitimate reason to pull him over but it was late no one else was around and how many times have others forgotten to use it when there wasn't anyone on the road - They started asking him if he was drinking and stuff and he wasn't so they gave him a ticket for the signal - I think it was because they didn't want to look like chumps for pulling him over just because he was going back to his dorm late
