Help...misfire codes

Hey guys,

So i've had my 97 CL for about 6 months now. My CEL came on about a week ago: P0304 and P1399. I've brought the car in to my mechanic several times, and everytime it seems to be fixed, the P0304 code keeps on coming back. The P1399 code is new! Please help i dont know what the hell is wrong with the damn car! It's got a rough idle and kinda sputters (popping noise from the exhaust)..Its pissing me off.
Ive already done new distributor, dist cap and rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, O2 sensors (front and back), radiator, map sensor, battery.
I still dont know what is wrong. I just got the car back from Acura and they said they need to do a few tests to find the problem cuz they cant even figure it out! but they want $500-600 for all the diagnostics and i dont want to dish te money out. They said it could be the head gasket that is leaking either coolant or oil into the combustion chambers..but there is no black, blue or fluffy white smoke coming out of the exhaust. EGR Valves maybe? Please help!! what else can cause the misfire codes? Thanks in advance for the replies! any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Valve clearance too tight can give mis-fire codes and exhaust popping

yea tight valves is a good way to burn them up..which would cause misfire code

There really are many things that can cause a misfire, its not easy to just spit out stuff that might be the culprit. Have you smoke tested the car for vacuum leaks? Are the spark plugs u put in gapped properly?

yes valve adjustment, there is another thread very similar to this one with a 1399 code. try checking out the accord forums, theres a lot of info out there regarding this topic and as dainfammus1 said it could be A LOT of things, so start ruling things out and replace things in order from cheapest to most expensive, i wouldn't jump right to the valve adjustment.

Hey so..something new...the car is running hot and I have the rad cap off and I started to notice that everytime I pour antifreeze in the rad..3secs later it's sucked up and gone...I had the rad replaced about 1.5months ago...I repeated pouring for about 5 min and the antifreeze just disappears..where does it go? I don't have a leak either..I checked...but before it disappears I get mayb 2 or 3 bubbles...the dealership says it is the head gasket...(we were pouring the antifreeze at the dealership)...the only thing is if it was my head gasket I would either have blue, black or fluffy white smoke coming out the exhaust...I'm so boggled I can't figure out wuts wrong with the damn car! Please help...thanks in advance guys

Well wen I replaced the rad a month ago I put in about 3/4 of a bottle(3.78L)..and today at the dealership we put in mayb 1/3 of the bottle...same size...so maybe it wasn't enough? How much fluid does the rad need to have it completely full? Oo and I did notice the smell of rad fluid b4 too but after the rad was changed I haven't had a leak since...do u think I put too much in or not enough?
