Help ME!!! (A REAL PROBLEM!)

(No I am not asking you to pick my rims or pick my exhaust/intake/drop or whatever)
I went to go pull my car in the garage last night and go to put it in park and It wouldnt go! I could take the shifter from Reverse all the way down to D1 but not into park. To take the key out I disconnected the battery and I left the car in Nuetral with the ebrake pulled. I can drive the car but I just cant put it in park! Is it a cable or what!?! HELP ME!!!!!

i dont have an acura dealer near me, just honda. They think (havent fully gotten it checked out) it could be a shifter cable. The part itself is 200 hundred bones, but then i took it to SBC (south bend clutch) and they found this fray in the line, like the cable was pulled or got caught and needs to be fixed/replaced for bout 100. but i cant get in anywhere till thursday! this sucks!

sounds like the shifter cable or something else has locked the car out of gear. Really wish I could help you out
