help me make my decision

ok, so i'm in miami til sunday. i'm looking for some shop to install my lowering springs and shocks for me. i would want to do it tomorrow so i can have the whole day friday and saturday to test it out before i have to take the 7+hr 500 miles trip back up to school. but the thing is i'm not too sure if i'll be able to do it tomorrow.

i have a friend who can help me out to do it for free but he won't be available until saturday.

so here are my choices...

a) do it tomorrow or friday hope nothing wrong.
b) do it after i return to school, probably more expensive
c) do it myself now, use the intalling money to buy the tools
d) do it myself later, use the installing money to buy the tools

If you don't have the time to get it done before you leave and make sure that nothing is wrong, then wait until you get back to school. You don't want to be in the middle of a 7-hour drive if something happens to go wrong.

You'll definitely need the help. Also, if your car has seen any of that white stuff that falls in the winter, you'll probably break at least one lower strut mounting bolt. If that happens, you may run out of time.

Personally, I'd wait until you have the time (in case a problem arrises) and have a helper.

you can rent the tools you need from autozone.........but like everyone else said, you should o it when youve got plenty of time...you could run into a problem half way through and then youre really stuck if youve got a drive ahead of you.....it is easy to o tho if you have any kind of mechanical history
