Help with JACK STANDS PLEASE!!!

Hey guys, I'm finally going to put my summer rims on!!!! I can't wait, but I want to repaint the calipers. The last time I painted them, I did 1 at a time.

Would it be safe to jack the car up from both sides (ie whole front end) with 2 jacks?? or is there anywhere I can jack it up and use JACK STANDS? Please help asap

I wouldn't put the whole front up on 2 jacks if you can avoid it - If you have stands just jack one side up, put the stand under it (on the frame or something solid) and then do the other side the smae way. Don't forget that e-brake...

as long as you don't get under the car I think two jacks will be fine. But jackstands are so cheap you might as well go buy some.

I would NOT recommend getting under a car that was only held up with jacks. You'll probably be ok, but if not, the consequences are too much! :thumbsdn:

Get the jack stands. They're not that expensive.

When I change my tires, I only jack up one corner of the car at a time. If you can't get jack stands, do this.

ooooo, there is a hook in the front that you can jack it up w/. Do that and then slip the stands under on each side. Same thing w/ the back. THere is a hook back there too.

How big is your jack????

I have a 2 1/2 ton jack. When I did my shock/springs all I needed was 1 jack to lift the entire front or back ends of the car. The jack gets place in the front/rear of the car, dead center. There is a cross bar for the frame that is fine to use for jacking up the vehicle. I wouldn't do that though without at least a 2 ton jack. Anyting less and your better off using at least one jack and one jackstand.
