Help guys, all of a sudden my radar with built-in voltage meter keep saying HI VOLTAGE, I looked in the manual and it said that if my battery is over 15.5 VOLTS it will keep saying that and the weird thing is that it will happen the most at 1500-1750 RPM.. I took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't do ANYTHING because I have aftermarket bulb and guage..... and I also heard a weird humming noise under the hood when this start happening. The dealer did however checked the alternator and said it was just a little weak... ANY ideas guys??? I am driving worry with the high voltage!!! Worry that it could damage other eletrical parts somewhere..... THANKS GUYS!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

ur battery will overcharge and could break. look at ur battery and feel the sides, if its bowed out at all u need to fix it asap. eather way i would just break down and replace the alternator, and maybee ur battery.....honestly, chances are nothing will happen cause batteries have an overboard dump, but if something does go wrong the battery could explode, so its best to fix it now.

 

do you know how many AMP our alternator is?

I will replace it to see what happen...
