HELP!: cant get two screws off

HELP!: cant get two screws off
There are these two screws all the way on the passenger's side that hold the wood trim on. They're hard to reach and hold the end of the long piece in place. I've been working on these for a good two weeks. I cant get the SOB's off. Any ideas?
