I found the amp!

Just an FYI for all of you......if you have a '98, the bose amp is located in the truck between the tirejack and tailight.

Hey,

Just a quick question....I just bought my 98cl about a week ago and I'm trying to get rid of all the blose shit in my car. I have two RF 10s and a punch800 amp, also a Pioneer 7300 HU. Now that I know where the amp is how do I bypass it and still use the factory speaker wiring? If someone can help me out with this I be very thankful.

Thanks,

Derek

Uh, I just went out to my car to hunt for the imfamous amp and I removed that little plastic piece covering the jack and tail light and didn't see it. Is it actually behind that plastic thing or am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks

After you remove the plastic jack cover, you need to pull the carpet lining down, the amp is lower than the taillight. You should be able to see a 1" thick wire loom harness above the jack location.....follow it down to the amp.

This thread talks about the Bose wiring schematics.
