Help!!! Amp and Subwoofer installation
Hi,
I am not an expert in sound system and wirings, but I have some knowledge of working on cars...
Anyways, I was trying to install an amplifier(Pioneer GM-400F) and Infinity silvercone woofer on a Sony Explod CDM-M620. For the remote wire, I tapped a blue wire with white stripe on from the back of the head unit and hooked up all (+) and (-). The power light on the amp came on, and I thought it was all ready to boom boom, but it did not sound..
Since it was 4 channel amp, I bridged them on the amp. Also, I treid many different way of wires, but did not work.
Can anyone help me out?
Any helpful info would be appreciated.

What do you mean you tried many different 'way of wires'. There is only one way... and you are running a 4 channel amp into one sub?
You might want to read up a little on installation basics. Crutchfield has some good info if you dig around... http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/

oh..
thanks for your help..
I already figured it out..
The problem was RCA cables that goes into the amp.
I have installed sub and amp few times, but at that time, I did not have to use RCA cables and I only used remote cable from the factory cd player.
Well..
thanks a lot guys for your replies.
thanks.

i grounded it on the side behind the carpet on the left side of the trunk theres a metal brace, i just dremeled all the paint off and put a bolt through a an existing hole
I grounded mine to one of the 4 speaker bolts coming into the trunk. I grinded the paint off the spot above the bolt then just got a nut that fits the bolt and thats it. Of course my amp is on the top of my box so it was a close spot to ground it to. It might not be as good if your amp is located somewhere else.
