Cool hello, Just got my 97 Cl

So Ive owned GSR's, Si's etc... but I was kinda sick of the stolen aspect of them and just not the most luxury est of rigs. So after see'ing a friends CL I decided to pick one up.

1997 Clean Title, Silver on Grey leather interior, 2.2 5spd 190k, paid 1800$. considering most of them are 4k plus around here I considered it to be a good deal. It was owned by 3 women and the interior is almost perfect beyond the seats.

The mods so far:

Removed intake
Integra Type R shift boot
7" flip out screen, soon to be replaced with a double din.
6.5" MB Quart Speakers up front, soon to be infinity 6x9's in the rear
6k Hids
RCA's / 2 runs of 4guage ran

I also have a couple amps and a almost complete H22 Long block that I picked up for 100$

I plan to have pictures up later today, the car is in peices, plus I have togo on a road trip in a bit to get a tail light that came busted on the car.

This will help you out with your basic questions:

https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-1997-1999-56/%2A%2A%2Anoob-guide-read-first-before-posting%2A%2A%2A-478508/

As for modding, it seems you've been in the scene for a bit based on the cars you've had. Just remember, the 1st gen CL is nothing more than the 94-97 accord with a different shell.

Welcome, I hear ya on the GSR/SI issues, these cars are great and def more luxurious, although the seats do fall apart easily. Nice to see you just got the car and are already swapping an h22. Post some pics of the car, and welcome

As promised, found out I had a bit more time and took some pictures.

What do you think about what I paid for it? I havent seen one for less then 4k, I was kinda skecthy about it at first but for the 2k I figured I saved I could fix any problem.

I reasearched alot before I bought the car, and have been doing hondas for 6 years now so for the most part I know what I'm doing, but I still ask questions and search, if there is anything anybody would like to know about my car just ask.

They do...

And that's a pretty good price. Got my 3.0 for 3k, someone else got their CL for 2k.

i was gonna say...that is an ITR shift boot.

an aftermarket shift knob would make that complete...along with a SS or prelude shifter

i'd def keep that intake on or at least the pipe w/a filter at the end, i had my setup like that and i hated it, it decreased performance. Good buy for 1800 though, thats for sure.

Cool

hey its been awhile just been really busy.

No real updates on the car, Yes its a typeR shift boot with a stock knob havent really found anything I like and I dont want a metal one they get too cold or too hot.

Its running and driving great, but the throwout bearing is making a bunch of noise so debating on what im going todo next.
