Hella Trumpet Horn

Has anyone upgraded their factory horn to the Hellas Part Number: HE-7424801? I'm having a difficult time installing the ones I bought.

I'm the only one on this site that I know of to have installed hella horns on my car, though I've recommended it to a few members. What exactly is the problem you are having? I installed the Hella Supertones, 120 db horns, high and low tones and the install was really simple. Did you get a relay with the horns? That was the only hard part of my install, that plus painting the bright red grills black.

That is the same exact problem I'm having as to how to go about getting the realy install, and where do i get the power from. I though that the gree/blue wire on the current plugs we have was the hot/positive wire, but I don't seem to be getting anything from there once I used the test light. Do you have any step by step instructions?, I was going to get the same exact ones you have, but I'm in love with the trumpet horn sound.

You only get power to them from the relay. They are pos and neg on the stock terminals. I had to replace my stock relay (behind the headunit console) with a larger relay provided by them.

When you say that you had to replace the stock relay did you just plug in the one they sent us in the box?. What relay did you use? in other words the one they sent you. Are you talking about the fuse box on the engine bay or the one inside by the foot rest? What about the wiring? Should I follow their instructions? I'm apologize for all these question I just want to make it right you feel me? (wink) Hey I guess we'll roll solo with the hella's since were the only 2 up in here with it lol

From me? You're gonna have to wait a little bit, it's snowing like crazy right now and there's no way I'm blowing them inside

It's what I do I put off buying parts for over a year till I find the right price or deal. I get all my audio stuff for wholesale, so why would I wanna pay full price for anything else. Got a $500 set of rims for $175, just gotta watch for deals, I spend lots of time on ebay looking for the parts that I am planning to get and just jump when I see things, that's why I have most parts for some projects, but still need random things. Course when u buy as many parts as I do, you gotta look for deals.

Some day once spring comes and I get all my projects in order I'll start a more detailed projects tracking so you can see all the crap I have goin.
