1stgencl told me a while ago to just put the oven at like 200 or 250 deg. and place the headlight on a cookie sheet... just do it untill you can pry the housing apart.

I bet you could use a soldering iron to get it off. I haven't tried it, but I bet it would work. Just run it along the silicon and pull the housing off.

once the front lens is off, how would you go about removing the chrome piece in front of the reflector?

you can use the oven, I did and it worked fine... just place the headlight right side up so it is resting on the mounting points... and just keep a close eye on it... try first with like 5 minutes and see if it will come apart at all.

Blacura- when the headlight is apart, there are screws that hold the chrome in place, then the lens can be reached.

I set the oven to 200 and put the headlight right in on a cookie sheet (no preheating and on the sheet because the racks concentrated the heat to one place and left lines on the first light) for like five minutes. It was just enough to get the glue alittle melted and i worked at prying it apart with a flat head screw driver. when it got hard to pry apart i put it back in for another 2 minutes or so at 200, just make sure you keep an eye on it so it doesnt melt. The chances are the first thing that you would see melt would be the chrome reflector which would start to distort some but it wouldnt make a huge difference as long as you took it out at the first sign of distortion. Makesure you take your time prying it apart and try not to break too many clips
