does anybody know how to install headers on an 97 2.2... Details would be great... thanks...

 

1st remove the heatshield but removing the three nuts going into the manifold...

then remove all the nuts at there the manifold meets the engine..

at the bottom there will be 3 bolts bolting the manifold and the downpipe to your cat together. unbolt those 3... thatz just for the manifold...

if you want to remove the down pipe too you'll have to remove a clamp thing under the car that holds the pipe up... and the 2 spring bolt that connects to your caty converter...

Sounds simple... but a pain in the ass thing to do.. especially when you can't remove the nut and breaker bars just won't fit under the car...

 

hahah took me like 30 min ... but i had air guns and a hydrolic lift ... heheh
