header fit???

will this fit on our 98 2.3 ??? it's for the accord 94-97. which one is better? obx, dc, or greddy? or does it actually matter? is it true (in the add) that headers give you from 10-20 hp? thanks!

i got those headers. they aren't bad but they aren't the greatest either. they are not made for vtec. but they will fit and work. if you want to get a header that will give you a true gain get dc or greddy headers. by the way i got mine $96. do don't bid for that particular set wait for another set to come up for bid and get them cheaper.

what did u mean that it will work? do you actually feel a hp gain (of 10-20 HP as stated?). does it sound different as well? do you think that it is actually worth it to get headers? I was thinking of getting headers instead of an exhaust. i don't want my car to be too loud all the time....it can be pretty annoying. i just want it loud when i floor the car. thanks bigbrother!

it does not change the sound of the car. and i didn't really feal a gain in horsepower although it might be there. personally i think it was worth it in the sense that when i get exhuast it will help. if you are not getting exhaust it won't help much. from what i have heard to get the full potential out of your exhuast you need hearders as well. what i am trying to say is the obx headers will work but will not give you the full gain of 10-20 hp becuase it is not designed specifically for vtec. if you got dc or greddy they make headers for vtec and you will get a good increase in horse power. if you put in exhaust it will be loud all the time. the only thing that really would give you the loud sound only when you floor it is a cai.

hmmm.... that's interesting, coz. my friend told me that it would give a deeper and more aggresive sound. anywayz, what kind of exhaust are you planning to get? the whole catback and exhaust or just the muffler? do you know which exhaust isn't too loud, but adds the most hp? i guess i'll go for dc headers then since greddy is kinna expensive.

in order to get the full result of the headers you would need to get a full cat-back exhaust. the reasoning is simple if you think about it, more air in (reason for aftermarket intake) more air out (aftermarket exhaust & headers) larger piping would allow that. so if your gonna get headers get cat-back exhaust. dont get your hopes up though IT WILL NOT ADD 10-20 HP! i had a civic w/ intake,dc headers, greddy exhaust, never dynoed but felt maybe 10-15hp gain. anyway good luck with whatever you decide to do

your exhaust will be louder with headers. You should get aftermarket exhaust first. Your going to get the most out of your headers with exhaust. Whats the use of having a big opening (header) and running it into something smaller, its like blowing into a straw.

I have a DC Sport ceramic header (94-97) and it mounted up perfect. I could hear more air flow out of the engine, than louder exhaust. It may be a little louder, but mine is all ready loud enough. I could tell a difference right away. My friend drags an IHRA CRX and he told me the DC Sport is the best for the money. You deffiniatly need exhaust before header. The header will let out more air just for your muffler to trap. We all ready have a stock 4-2-1 manifold system which is not bad. It is just cast steel, heavy and ugly though.

my dc 4-2-1 didnt change my exhaust sound one bit on my HKS super dragger. u need intake and cat back exhaust to get the most out of a header. n e ways it gave me all my low end back that i had lost to my cai and cat back. and there is also a slight mid-high gain. it was worth $300 to get more power back down low if u ask me. not to mention the nice weight reduction. them cast iron stock header is heavy! and ugly? on non vtec accord they dont have a stock 4-2-1 header they get about a 10hp gain not us with vtec. we get maybe 3-5 depending on ur setup.
