header ?

header ?

i just got my obx header today. my question is: it came with two metal gaskets where it will meet the engine, do i just stick these strait on or do i need to apply something to the gaskets first?

you can just put them on, but i recommend just a little anti-sieze on each side

Did you get the rear downpipe bent?

damn dude, did you just get your car? you're putting all kinds of shit on it right away. first teh CAI, and teh tranny cooler, then the headers. where is all this money coming from?

I would apply a gasket sealant to it, but its not necessary. The stock exhaust manifold gaskets are installed using it, I figured I might as well.

and while we're on this topic. you should let us know how it feels after you install. I DEFINITELY noticed a difference when I installed my CAI. Stock WOT would accelerate normally, but now with WOT the tires slip a little bit fromt eh extra power... good stuff.

i got my ride about a year ago. as for the money, this shit really isnt that expensive, plus if you diy it is a hell of a lot cheaper. i havent got the downpipe bent yet, i wont have a chance to diy untill the weekend after this.

dust: how did you remove the rear exhaust manifold? did you go under the ca? remove shit?

oh also i installed clear lenses yetsterday and s7 guages go in thisweekend... ill get pics when all done...

It's easier to unbolt it from up top. Just stick your ratchet between the firewall and the rear exhaust manifold.
