I am having a problem getting what seems to be some sort of haze in/on the paint out. It looks like the paint is a little bit foggy. I have no idea what this is, is anyone else having this problem? I was thinking maybe its the clearcoat starting to go bad, but its on the side of the car that I had to get rapainted because of an accident a couple of months back. I waxed it the other day and I dont think that helped, any other suggestions.

 

id take it back to the shop & tell them to repaint it!

 

I'm getting the same thing (I think). I have a Teflon coating on the paint, and can't feel anything when I rub my hand over it. It does look like the clear coat is disintegrating.

 

I had the same problem on my hood. It faded over on the top driver's side quarter of the hood. I brought it back to the dealer to fix the problem. I think they tried to buff or polish it out but that didn't work. They then called Acura head office to check if repainting the hood would be covered under warranty. Luckily it was. I have a 99 3.0CL, so it was only 2 1/2 years old. I brought it in about 4 weeks ago. The guys at the dealer had no idea what caused the fading. I just hope it doesn't fade again.
