Hey guys I have a question and all opinions are welcome...

I want to get the oem spoiler, my ass looks too bare. But I had the idea of getting it color matched to the gunmetal on my enkei's, if I do that i'm gonna paint the grill the same color as well, let me know what you guys think.

 

IMO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! That would be like wiping before you poop. It just does not make sence. Color match to body, will tie up the rear of your car and make it look complete. And, if you color match it to your wheels people might think it's from another car and you were too cheap to have it painted and threw it on there just so you can say you have a spoiler. The grill is a different story. That would look good as i visualize it. Especially if you smoke your headlight assemblies, that would be bitchin.

Match it to the body color bro. Just go look at your car in the morning and visualize a gunmetal spoiler on your black trunk. Make your decision from there.

I have a lack of chrome on my CL and I plan to keep it that way. Unless it's some nice foose wheels tucked under a musclecar, chrome makes me cringe.

I'm stuck in a rut. I don't know if I want to keep the CL and do a Cocoa swap ( ), buy a CL-S or GSR, or keep saving. Regardless, I want a MT and more power. (Don't we all?)

lol, if i get a new car, I don't want it to be a 1st gen. The only reason I would attempt a Cocoa swap is so I wouldn't have to go through the hassle of getting a new car. I just don't know the reliability/cost of it. I know a guy who would do the swap for me though.

 

manual transmissions for the win. i just wish mine was a 6spd instead of 5.

 

I thought Cocoa said that his mechanic was the only one who knew how to complete the J35 swap into a first gen correctly.

 

My Buddy just got a GSR. Stock height, with rims. Body a little rusty. 253,000 Kms, for 3200$. It's fast.....but not Prelude fast. I walked him from a roll twice and from a dig.

 

my front lip got smashed on the way to jacksonville last night on a back highway. cant figure out what happened. lip just ripped away and i ran it over, so did the A*Hole behind me. this sucks im pretty pissed cus it loosened my bumper too in the process and screwed up my headlight alignment. today F****** BLOWS. my gf said she will help me get a new one once her govt check comes in. dont even know that i care to get another lip. it was a pain worrying about scraping all the time.....Sh!t happens i guess

 

Get a different lip then, The ABS lip is known to rip off just like what happened to you, the WW lip isn't. Or get one custom fabbed.

 

That is key. The cost might be high to get done what you want, and getting it to be reliable might involve some tweaking. The cost of my swap just keeps climbing. But honestly, i'd never sell the car unless it was some sort of crazy emergency where i need cash. The look on people's faces when i open the hood or when i put a whoopin on em on the highway is absolutely priceless, something like "WHAT....THE HELL.....WAS THAT?!"

abs lip is probably gonna be junked. ill see what i can do with fiberglass or something. wings west is most likely what will be the end result if i cant fix it. how does the wings west front and back look with stock skirts?? maybe just the front for now until i figure out how far i want to take this car.

 

I got really into Integra's for a while as well, there great cars )as you already know) but they have hardly any room for extra people in the back I rode in one and i had to hunch over the entire time Not to mention everything has been tried with those cars.
maybe try a 92-95 Civic with Hasports new v6 swap kit, have 3.5 in a 2500lb hatch

cause it's not fast enough nor can you shift the gears yourself. i got bored of my CL and an h22 swap wasn't gonna happen, so i bought the prelude

integras have decent room in the back, you can actually sit back there, unlike preludes. head room is an issue but im 6'4" so that wont be the case for most people.
