ok, so mine just crapped out last night adn I'm still trying to find out how to take the damn door panel apart, but I did a search and found that it happened quite a bit, so I figured I'd fin out exactly how often and if there is any pattern to it. so let us know which year and if or how many times it's happened.

Talking Mistress has good regs.

Not had a failure, though my driver side has a tiny squeek as it comes up. I think there is something smeared on the glass that is making it squeak. I will wash it Sat and see what happens. I have noticed that both of mine seem slow and in adition, they both push the window hard enough to contort the door. Not much, but I can feel it. So if I do have a failure, these could be some warning signs. I broke a manual regulator in my civic, long ago, but that happens. Good luck with the survey.

oops, I'm an idiot, and voted for "97 more than once" when I meant to click "97 once"
My drivers side kicked the bucket. An hour and $70 bucks later, it was fixed though.

no0pe, havne't gotten it yet. been at work since I posted this thread and am going back right after I finish this burrito. how many screwsare there? vI can find 4 screws in teh whole damn panel: one where the open handle/ unluck button is, and three where the window /mirror buttons are. any more, or any suggestions on how to get teh damn clips off?

looks like the 97's are either getting owned, or it;'s just because they are older.

Mine too, I replaced the passenger after it died during the snow season, now my driver side is slowing down. But lubing up the tracks helped, had the smackura dealership do that when they replaced my other one

no since our doors and windows are curved...it will only work on the side it was made for.

Mine hasn't broken down yet, but the driver side window goes up faster than the passenger. Maybe that's a bad sign?

CV axels aren't that bad... It is expected that you will have to replace those, but window motors, that is fucked up. I rode in a frieind's old beater GMC pickup, I swear those window motors would cut your damn head off. It takes like 2 or 3 seconds for them to go up. If even that long.

I have a '97 CL and my driver's side regulator went out once--but I had a friend fix it for $80 and a case of beer...With all the failures it seems like Acura should have had a recall on this shit
