aiight guyz..
im new here..but i've been workin on my CL slowly over tha past year..took me a while to start modding..(crashed) but now its fixed and im up to Intake,Hidz,Droppd,painted my stockiez black (97 5 point wheels), tintz all around.
and i got an idea..im going for a Black/White theme,and i was just wonderin if anyone knowz anyone that has done up a CL with Black Face rims, and a white lip?
any input on how you guyz think it wud look wud be appreciated,,and ill get pics up As soon az acurazine lets me.

 

Hmm... we were just talking about that when Nate or someone couldn't figgure out that color to paint their stockies. Try searching.

 

not that i know of, but i've only been around for a year or so. i've seen black or white on those stockies, but never both.
if you think it's gonna look good, do et up, all about originality i think

I'm sure its been done before, but I don't recall seeing it on any CL's.

yeah, I've just never seen my wheels painted, interested.. My biggest fear is f'ing it up and having it chip or flake.

 

me too ive seen 2 g35s an 1 m3... white car on black rims w/ white lip. imo that shit looks cleannnnn.

thats the rim color scheme i was going for wen i have the $$ to pick some rims up.

Myxomatosis- az long az you take your time painting it they'll come out good. just try to do it someplace where its not windy..
just scuff up all the shine off the old ones..if you want you can use filler primer to fill up any small scrattches.let it dry,give it a quik sand with high grit paper. and paint az many coats till the color comez out. they sell wheel coating at places like autozone too,so they can put up with the weather.
and Gnate. im like an hour away from u.

yeah not feeling it at all, looks bad IMO

 

i thought the first mercedes and the VW looked good. that bmw is trying to put too much wheel it dosent look right how the body curves in and the wheels are sticking way out.. makes it look all pedro'd up.

 

i like it, the only thing is that it'll only look that way if you get rims with a bigger lip and faces that are flat and not curved.
which is hard to do on a cl.
it would be hard to pull this off on a cl, and it might look kinda weird, but it would be def original

 

I dont like it when the entire rim is white, but perhaps a time attack stripe in white would look nice?
