H22A Hook-Up

Allright, through my unbelievable networking skills I met a guy with serious engine hook-ups in Japan, actually he is a neighbor of my girlfriend's brother. Anyhow, I sell bulbs, wheels, altezzas, and such in Manhattan and he found out that I was in the business. He contacted me and said he would give me pricing that I could resell at. Cool. He gave me pricing on an H22a full swat with tranny that I could resell at 2800 and still make decent money off the deal (I am disclosing my cost for obvious reasons). Is this a competitive price (fode??). In and around the KC area no one does swaps so I could make a few bucks here and there just being the middleman. Lately I have been approched all the time for business deals like this. I have more connections than a damn electical circut. Just wanted feedback on if its a good deal from the people that know it best. Who knows, maybe I will swap it out, havent really thought about it before...

does the $2800 include the swap...or is that just for the engine..tranny and ecu?...usually a h22a engine...tranny and ecu run from $2000-$2600...

Sorry but $2,800 on a h22 swap is not a good price. You can easily find a complete jdm swap for under $2,500. Just look on ebay and you can easily beat that price by a couple hundred dollars. Here are some examples:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eb...054432&r=0&t=0

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eb...874358&r=0&t=0

Even dedicated web sites that only sell jdm engines like www.jdmhondaparts.com has a complete jdm swap for $2,500 or the long block for $1,200.

If you could include shipping for $2,800 then it would be an ok deal but I've seen them go for less. I good deal would be anything under $2,500 for an engine that has less tha 40k and includes everything, from ecu to axles.

not to rain on your parade but 2800 is way overpriced.. i gettem for 2k-2400 and i sell them on here anyways for what i get them for.. i usually sell them elsewhere for 2600

ok, ok, ok... That was exactly what I was looking for. He said he would sell them to me for around $2300 shipped. I figure it would not be worth my time and effort for less than 500 bucks, thus the 2800 number. Fode, it sounds like you still got the best deal in town. Two grand plus change doesn't sound too bad for a full swap, I guess. I might do it towards the end of the summer. Thank you guys a lot for your feedback. And fode, I knew they were ramen noodles, I just was typing fast at work.
