H22 CL has finally FIRED!!!
After two months, my 99 H22 CL has finally woken up! We got the motor to start today, with the OBD2B-OBD1 conversion harness. There was an issue with one of the ground wires that we had to cut for the dizzy to be internal. We had to reground it. OMFG did I SHIT when that motor started!!!!
Now, on to the next chapter:
I need some suggestions on our issue.
When you hit the gas, the car dies out. It will run idling, but as soon as the butterfly valve on the 68mm Skunk2 throttle body is cracked= the car dies. You can hear the HSSSSSSSSSS of the bitch trying to gobble air! Is there something this intake manifold does not have hooked up right?
There are alot of possibilities why this motor will not Rev, but I thought I would get some suggestions first. Please consider that there is no place for the EGR on my Skunk2 intake manifold. The timing needs advancing too. It is either running too rich or too lean, cause you can smell some crazy shit coming from the motor. It needs major tuning!!! Can anyone point me in the right direction, on where to start? My mechanic is not sure which way to adjust the AEM pressure regulator. Does anyone know where I can find out?
Here are the variables involved:
Skunk2 68mm throttle body, and Intake Manifold==ALOT OF AIR!
AEM FUEL RAIL and AEM PRESSURE REGULATOR==ALOT OF FUEL!
Where do you start tuning these two variables, to work in Harmony with eachother?
