gunk from debadging

Hey guys, I just debadged my trunk today. Problem is, there is still some gunk left from the emblems. I tried goo-b-gone, rubbing compound, wax, polish and even a razor blade. Nothing seems to take them out. Anyone know how to take care of this? Casper/1KleenCL/Adrienne- I know you guys have done this before... dont know if you guys still post here, but any help would be appreciated. thanks.

if its double sided tape.. just pick at it until you get it all.. if its missing wax from waxing your car so much.. you'll have to buff it

Yes, buffing should take it out.

I used rubbing alcohol and it got rid of everything but you might still have an outline of the emblems if they have been on awhile especially if your car is a dark color. My "Acura" part had an outline but than i got it repainted

I had a bunch of funk left on mine too. I used some WD-40 and some stuff called goo gone. I got it form office max. The funk came right off. I aslo buffed it too, but some days when the sun hits it just right you can still see where they were at....ghost emblems....

I used McGuires scratch-X to remove my "2.2cl" and "acura" emblems and it worked like a charm.

I tried everything to get the gunk off of my Cl, nothing worked. I even took it to a detailing place, and they gave me some more things to try. I even took my moms advice and used an SOS scrubbing pad....BAD IDEA it scrathed the fok out of my trunk, and the shizz was still there. Later i found out that if its been more then a 1 1/2 years since your car was made, odds are that stuff isnt going to come off. In the end i paid $350 to get my trunk repainted.
