I have a 97 3.0 and I'm hearing a new noise under the hood. It sounds like its coming from where the belts are and its almost like a grinding sound. Sounds loudest when I start the car and then it slowly starts to fade away or down. Any ideas on what the hell this is? Its annoying and I want to fix it before it turns into something crazy. Thanks in advance people.

 

Pop the hood, have someone start the car, and just listen to where it's comming from. Mine made a noise in that area as well, but it was from the ABS res. doubt it's the same problem you have
