Green gunk all over again?!

Err I came out of the gym today and noticed this green gunk all over my passenger side rim. My poor racing hart rim was covered with this green gunk. I just wiped it all off. A couple of months ago I replaced my cv boot and the gunk was all gone. Now on the same side the gunk is back? Anyone know what it is? Is it fine to drive with this gunk leaking?

i would not drive it!!!!!! if it is the boot you will fuck your cv joint and that will cost $. just look under the car (its very easy to see) and look at the boot...shit i dont have a pic...its just a black rould boot that conects the wheel to the driveshaft...at least rhats the best i can explain it...i can get you a pic tommorow

sounds like a cv joint to me...to the best of my knowledge nothing else would be spraying out shit down there except for brake fluid, but that you would notice...and just look under the car...jack it up...the cv joint is very obvious

There's two boots upper, and lower. Usually when the lower one breakes, then your wheel gets covered in gunk.

Definately a booot, dark green is the grease which is in the boot, get that checked out and changed because if not you will have to change that sides entire shatf. If you havent really noticed a big difference in driving then you should be fine, you usually know its on the way out when you have a harder time turning and it sounds like metal rubbing metal. Worse case it locks up and youll need to tow it and change that side shaft. Good Luck

Wtf! I replaced the axle yesterday and today I notice the car wants to turn to the right. Like if i take my hand off the wheel it will go right to the right side. And I almost feel a force pushing it to the right while im driving straiight. And if i hit the gas with no hand on the wheel it will turn to the right. Whatz causing this?

Go get an alignment done and check your tires, they may need ot be rotated. While they are doing the alignment ask them to check your boots

I realize you put a new boot but you still need to inspect them in case they were not put on right, or they can tear again even if they are new

i would have to disagree...if the boot is torn your going to get road debris in the boot...then obviosly into the bearing...result...1 piece of sand=fucked bearing...it will chew that shit up...

green = anything else than cv boot. That should be dark brown or black. Unless they've used some space-age lubricant or something...
