Great, now I'm in the "My CL got jacked club"

I go to UConn and finally finishing my semester I came home late last night. Parked my car in front of my house.

I come out this morning, my trunk looks half open. I look inside of it, of course my box with dual 10's and my two JBL amps are gone. I go around and the lock on my car door is f*cked up. The thieves emptied out my glovebox and all that looking for the face plate but luckily I took it with me so at least I still have my headunit.

I swear to god, Theives are the lowest piece of Sh*T on the planet. I just wish I could be locked in a room with whoever stole, I don't give a f*ck if it was Warren Sapp, I swear to god I would rip that mutha f*cka to shreads!!!

The insurance is in my mom's name but it isn't full coverage and is real basic, do you think there's any chance they'll cover it?

How about my mom's Homeowners insurance since it was parked right in front my house?

I also thought the car was stolen. Same thing happened to LLWesMan except not in front of his house. Sorry to hear about that.

maybee if u said u left it in the garage with the garage door open. the homeowners insurance would cover it. but if it was parked on the street ur kinda fawked.

It depends if it was in your driveway you may have a chance with the homeowner's insurance. If you have receipts of the equipment you bought, depending on the mood of the insurance company they will reimburse you. Sorry to hear about your loss, but the sad thing is it is probably someone you know.

A factory alarm won't do jack. Get a good alarm ( Clifford or Viper ) and then install the rest of the stuff on your car. Trust me. I got my alarm before anything because one doesn't want to invest money on a car to get it stolen the next day. Be wise and patient.

Well what I do after I park my car is set off my panic alarm, this way if anyone is scoping they see and hear that loud ass s.o.b and plus I have that steel bar you put on your brake that you need a blow torch to get off.

That's always a good idea if you have the stock alarm. I use to do the same.

That fucking sucks. Like it was said earlier I know the feeling. Good luck with insurance I'm still trying to get an adjuster to come and look at my car so I can get it back on the street.

sorry man. i don't think your insurance will cover it

wouldn't the stock alarm go off if they pry your trunk and fuck up your door lock?

I'm guessing they opened his trunk using the lever after breaking his window.

Good alarms don't do JACK either. I had a 500 dollar clifford installed on my 96 civic and it was broken into and stolen. I had one of those pagers and I was about a block away, did my pager even go off to let me know someone broke into it? Oh hell no. Save your money on alarms, get full insurance and LoJack that way if something is stolen, your covered. I have State Farm and they cover me pretty well. I've totalled a car, had a car broken into, and had my car stolen and they have paid me hella well each time.

if u tell ur auto insurance that everything was bolted down, they should cover you on ur sub and amps. I know I already looked into mine before I put my stereo in their, because I had my "project truck" get it's stereo stolen and I didn't have insurance so it came out of pocket and I too had an alarm that did shit. It doesn't matter how much u spend on an alarm. Some good anti-theft advice-
Turn ur shit down when u go into parking lots or big groups.
don't show it off to anyone.
don't even talk about what you have.

Damn..

There are such things as car surveillance systems right? Because I may want to invest in one... That or an alarm system that pumps out large amounts of tear gas or smoke or blinding strobe lights.

Just a thought.
