Unhappy

sorry for posting 3 times but what he said is that everything is swapped good, some parts they had to use from my old engine. The only thing is that my car has a crankshaft sensor but the engine has nowhere to put one or connect it...

im kind of confused myself for i am almost positive this is the correct motor. please tell me something i can tell him so he knows how to install it.

I was supposed to take my girlfriend out tomorrow night for her birthday, dont wanna let her down and really want my car running.

the 94-97 accord ex motor (f22b1) is the same as your cl. Your mechanic is a noob!

If you have an ODB1 and need and ODB2...

http://www.google.com/search?q=OBD1+...ient=firefox-a

Get a conversion harness.

+1 on not wanting that guy in my car.

See, the thing is i'm not sure whether my car 97 2.2 cl is obd1 or obd2 ?
I am also not sure whether the motor is obd1 or obd2

all i know is that on the motor there isnt a place for a crankshaft sensor like there is on my other motor... so there is nowhere to plug in the sensor therefore it wont stay running without it.

Stop. So you know 96+ run a OBD2 then OBD3 and on. You shouldn't have so much problem with the motor, I read up on it and all I could find was that the f22b has a less flowing head. The f22a has a better flowing intake manifold along with better flowing head valve angle etc. As far as your missing sensor goes you need to find out if the year accord carries it. If it does not then you might consider going OBD1 to accommodate the sensors of the engine. OBD tells the age of the system therefore recognizing the sensor types. As time has gone the ecus have gotten more complex and the obd is a way of telling how old or new the system is. You can see it that way. If you convert to OBD1 you won't be able to inspect your car so that's a headache in its own.

You remind me of my H22 swap back in the day. I jumped in head first into something I had no idea on. I learned the hard way as they say. First you need to find out what year accord the motor came out of.
