finally ran the mazda 6 yesturday we ran twice both times i lost but not by that much she never had a whole car on me and when i started to hawk she shut down at like 100. the pure ownage came on our last race we line up and take off,we are going at it when this hyundi tiberon comes flying by both of us slows down we both get on it and he takes off again by a good 2 cars gives the hazards and is gone. im thinking of retiring white lightning an acura should never lose to a hyundi

you need headers.. i kicked my homies ass (well bout 1/2 car ) from 20-100, he's got a tibby 6 speed.

 

this tiburon was a beast sounded like one and ran like one. ate my 3.0 and a mazda 6 by like 2-3 cars.there was no catching him i was doing 100-110 and he was still stretching

 

I've ran plenty of the 6 speed Tibby's, and never lost (NA). Although, all were a close race, but still, never lost.

 

You just need some mods...

 

i need laughing gas even with bolt ons i think he still would have got me by alot i never saw a tiburon move like that i also heard a weird noise like a turbo spooling but no blowoff sound

 

is there that much of a performance diff with headers? do you actually feel the power?

 

the fastest fwd car i have ever been in was one of those damn tiburons..

Just know, at the end of the day, they have a Hyundai. Like you said, it probably had a turbo in it. Maybe it was the v6 tib too? I raced stock (i think) lower end one and they had no chance.

a 6 spd tiburon with all the bolt-ons will beat any first gen cl with bolt-ons. dont take those suckers lightly. it doesn't need FI to be fast...although of course with FI itll be damn fast liek the one that wasted that srt...
