got intake 2day... got a ?

I have the whole intake out of the car. But there is that little black box that connects to it that sits next to the battery. What is this for? Can i unbolt it and get rid of it.. What about the lines that hook up to it? Let me know

You have to take that box out otherwise the intake wont fit.

If you got a cold air, you have to remove the box from inside the bumper/inner fenderwell, that is where the intake goes. If you have a shortram you can leave that box. Also, the vaccuum lines that come off the other box hook up to the intake like mulk said

Is he talking about the box that holds the stock air filter? If thats the box he is talking about he has to take that out for the filter to fit. But the one behind his bumper right infront of his wheel well can stay. i took it out when i took my bumper off to black my headlights. I saved like 5 pounds. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH thats whole 10 more HP...YAY....lol

He said he took out his intake (which i'm assuming is his airbox, cuz it's connected) he said there's still a box by his battery which most likely is the box in the bumper. That's what I'm assuming, cuz when i had my shortram i left that one in, till i got my coldair and then off came the fenderwell so i could get that damn box out.

I dont have the cold air part installed yet so right now its short ram. I havent taken the one in the fender out yet but it will be soon. The vaccum lines dont hook into my intake. The short ram that is in there now doesnt have the places for them. So i left them open and no probs with anything. I might just plug them and go... I will be installing the cold air part sunday. I ran out of time b4 i had to go to work. So sunday it will be completed. And man is it LOUD.. I LOVE IT. My old car wasnt that loud with one but w/e it sounds cool!
