Good News!!!

Talked to dr. evil transmissions this morning, and they are willing to put together a rebuild package for me that would be able to withstand 350hp. They are gonna contact me within a couple of days to get me a price for everything. If all goes well, i'll be looking at my turbo setup to be done by spring.

The kit will include:

Stronger clutch packs.
Upgraded torque converter.
Upgreaded bearings/valves.

Thanks...It's been paid off for a while now, and i've felt like i'm lacking in the engine department. Plus there is the h22 turbo cl in our club, and I'd thought it be a nice addition to have a 3.0 turbo as well. I've already decided on turbo sizing, piping design, and what type of engine management I plan on using. I hope that everything will be completed by late sping/early summer 2005.

Edit: I will give everyone the final pricing information as soon as I recieve it.

Special thanks for cocoa, for the insperation and allmotor_2000 for his technical expertice, and insight on turbo size.

Let me know when your ready to buy it. I'm ready. If I can get my hands on something like this, then internals, here I come......!

wowzers. nice job. you've been trying to do this for a while haven't you?

way to go. if we were to send in our trannies for them to build it, how much would it be able to handle? are you going to get a LSD too?

I'll let you know, i'm just waiting for their reply. The guy said they haven't put together an off the shelf kit for the honda units yet. I'm ready to buy also, being that my tranny has a million miles on it. I'll keep contact with you fo sho.

Not really interested in the LSD, being that i'm looking for some hp, but not that much hp that I would need it.

ahh, yes I asee. yoou're in hawaii, so tire slippage isn't a big problem for you there. If I were to upgrade my tranny, I'd definitely get an LSD because I live where it's hella snowy, and the current tranny, when one tire is slipping, they might as well all be slipping. so it would help me personally with better traction AND cornering ability due to the removal of unnecesary stress on the tranny when the outside tire is turning faster than the inside tire.

only reasons I would get it, plus if you get a turbo like your saying I'm sure at 10 psi you'll be pushing more than 350 crank hp.
