I know I asked before, but maybe someone will have an answer for me now... does anyone know a good mechanic in S.E. Michigan... I have gone through a whole bunch and each one is more incompetent than the last... Any help would be much appreciated...

I had one change a radiator and they forgot to change my radiator hoses (which were rotting), so I got a coolant leak in the middle of winter and had to walk 2 miles in the snow to get home.

Another @#$@#$ changed my oil pan gasket and ripped it in the process of putting it on, then instead of putting a new one, just put some silicon on the oil pan and stuck the old one back so oil doesn't leak...

All this happened to my POS honda, so I don't care as much, but am worried about the Acura.

P.S. Any mechanic horror stories?

 

I have a 98, CL 3.0. I don't like taking it to the dealer. I usually go to Belle Tire. However, I had rotors and brakes done by them a year ago and had to get a new rotor this week! My car was shimmying when I hit the brakes at a certain speed. The best place to go is Acura of Troy but Belle typically seems to be ok. Acura of Troy fixed a censor problem last year and did not even charge me!

I hear Firestone is ok too.
