Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the NYC area who is very familiar with honda engines? I have a 2.2 CL that has misfires on the 3rd and 4th cyl. My mechanic performed a tune-up, including changing the fuel filter but the problem did not get even slightly better.

I have also had him change my EGR valve twice which still hasn't fixed an EGR flow insufficient error.

I need to take my car to someone very well versed with this engine so I can keep this baby running well beyond 200K...currently at 193K

 

check out the distributer cap and rotor...

its hard to find a good mechanic now a days

has he done a compression test?

could have no compression. and the egr thing.. you just need to clean out the intake mani runners.
