good idea or ?

i got a 98 white cl. I've changed all the lights to blue and I think they really look good. My question is that I hate the gold package and want to replace it to chrome and I was thinking if I take The chrome grill from the 2.2 and put on my car would it fit?

Thanks for giving me hope with my car I love it.

Black chrome means exactly what it says. BLACK CHROME! The new Lexus also have this type of black chrome. Honda also has them. Since you have the white cl you might want to get these. I have a black cl so it, isn't as noticible. BTW what is wrong with the gold? :p

I had the gold on mine when I bought it. Didnt care for it and they didnt have the black chrome to my knowledge so I had the silver put on. Its a preference thing I guess kinda like thos who like the CL look w/o the spoiler. I dont happen to car for its look.

u can pu any grill or chrome or gold molding from any 97-99 cl in ur hood. they are all the same. just certain moldings go with certain grills. i think 98-99 just have an emblem and chrome trim. my 97 has the trim, the emblem, and the wing.

If my car were red like yours I would go for the regular chrome or maybe the new black chrome.I would have to see how it looks up close. But don't go for the gold. IMO that would look tacky. Then again thats just me.

I wasent planing on changing the crome emblem on the back but i made a grill up front and cant deside if i should leave it blank or put an A on it. I dont think the crome will show up on the aluminium metal. Mabey the black crome would look nice. Thanks

I have the white ricer A on my trunk, and for a long time my grille was just stock (I have the 97 grille with the wing) and it looked REALLY bad, having one white badge and one regular one. However, now that I made my lovely 4G (Genuine Gutter Guard Grille), I stuck the other white badge in the center of it, so it looks really good. I just put the white badge on the outside of the gutter guard, where the pig snout thing sticks out underneath. I'll take a picture tonight as soon as I get home, so you can see it.

My advice, DO NOT change your badging unless you are prepared to change your grille stuff, as well. It looks tacky.

You can kinda see my badge on the back in this picture. No stalkers on the LP, please.

I dont know if i want to leave it blank or not cause you can see the platic where the onle emblem use to be and it looks kind of strange. But i do like the grill as it is dont know if a emblem would be better or not

Without a doubt, get rid of the gold....
I don't know why Acura would even offer to have just the lettering and the symbols gold, when the rest of the car has chrome accents, like around the doors and side windows.

I haven't seen the Black Chrome badges so I can't speak about them.

I'm too proud of my car so I would say leave the front badge on after you new one in.

Ok these pictures are pretty ghetto because it's really dark outside; I'l edit this tomorrow with better pictures, but for now, here's my grille/tail:

Again, it doesn't look so hot cuz the flash picks up on all the dirt, but it looks good in daylight. :/

do the 98+ CL's have the same emblems on the front grill the same as the 97?

if not do they screw into the grill? And is only the A or the A with crome wings?

I'm not sure about the 98+, but I think there were some problems making a 4G with a 98. Also, you're in the same boat as me when it comes to choosing an aftermarket badge/accessory, because our cars don't really match with red, blue, green, yellow, which are the main badge colors. You would look good with white, black, or carbon fiber aftermarket, and the black chrome would look good too. Keep in mind that the black chrome would be an outliney badge just like the stock ones, whereas the aftermarket ones are solid. Not that that really matters; it's just a matter of what look you're going for.

I've never seen a black chrome badge, but it sounds pretty nice.

This is the opposite side, but you can see it, at least. Is this what you were talking about?

I agree, looks good, Angel. At first, I was wondering what that white thing was, too, but now I can see it's a decal. I really like the way those rims complement the color of your car
