i'm a strong beleiver in being at the wrong place, wrong time. i've never gotten a ticket *knock on wood*, yet some of my friends get them regularly, and we all drive similarly, like most 20 somethings. i admit, i speed slightly, cut ppl off, ran a few reds, stops etc. yet im always lucky. so just cuz you're buddy gets away with 5% doesnt mean u will.

I live in Indiana and I have 15% and have pulled up next to cops and they don't do anything. My friend's dad got a ticket for tint and when he went to pay his ticket, the people at the bmv told him he was the first person they had seen with a tint ticket. 15% is a good amount of tint that isn't too light but still looks good.

here in IL you can only go 35% but this guy i know has 20% all the way around except for the wind shield. its dark that you cant even see him inside so I asked him has he ever received any tickets and his response was he has a doctors note. I saw the note and it says something about having a glare. So i guess there are loop holes if you try hard enough.

Sorry to hijack the thread but:
I'm going to get 20% and then 15% on the back. I know with the rockblocker taillight tint you're supposed to wait for temperatures around 60-80. Is it the same with normal window tint, I'd speculate so but I really want to tint my windows like now. So could someone enlighten me :-)

I got mine in march and it was fine, but it's REALLY cold here right now for march so I'd wait. It needs about a week to cure and they recommend 60-70 deg for tint to cure as well

How hard is it to apply rockblocker tint yourself? Is is hard to do due to the curve of the tail lights? I know applying tint isn't easy in the first place, but your also inside the car leaning at awkard angles, where outside your not....?

It's really very simple, I was surprised. It's thicker than window tint and easier to work with IMO. It is kind of a pain, you just gotta take your time and know what you're doing
