what up guys question about fuel pump replacement. i know its in the gas tank, but is there an access panel thing like under rear seat, or do you have to drop tank? Also, does anyone know the stock pressure rating of the fuel pump in 3.0 (like 190 lph or something??) should i get aftermarket like walbro, what size, any experience would be real helpful.

 

if anyone's interested, i'll tell u what happened this morning i go to start my car and it just turns and turns no catching...i'm thinkin either fuel prob or spark prob....i pray not t/b...i was gonna do the t/b next week anyway but i dont want to damage valves by cranking motor. anyone had this happen to them?

 

If you were gonna do them anyway then ....it just came a little earlier. how's your timing belt?

 

check for spark first. u can do a fuel pressure test without the car running. thru the fuel rail. that will tell u weather the pump is ok or not. it could be the ignition switch recall knockin at ur door. hit me up if u got any questions.

 

aight here's the deal...i was in staten island yesterday so my father the mechanic checks the car out and says he took off a hose b/c he was gonna spray starting fluid in but car started up and now starts so who the hell knows...i just got back here so i gotta see whats up...i think ill just tune it up this weekend and do t/b w/p next week

 

Maybe it's your key ? If you use a key that has a damaged chip or no chip at all, it will crank like it's going to start, but never does.
