I searched and couldn't find anything either, but people on here have told me it's pretty easy, it's back by the firewall I think. I would love some input on this as well. If noone helps us Alex, I have the 3.0 Helm's manual

Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Remove fuel cap
Loosen the top bolt on the fuel filter to relieve the pressure.
Once pressure is relieved, remove the bolt,
Remove the top and bottom fuel bolts to the filter; and filter mouting bolts
Replace filter

Installation is reverse directions.

You won't have a problem changing it on the 3.0 It's self explanatory once you see it. Have fun...

Acura dealer calims that the fuel filter is not a maitenance item and it deosn't need to be replaced in the life of the car. Is this true?
Any advantage to replacing it. I have 116000 miles on the car.
Other than occasional restarting problems afer parked for about 30 mins,(sputters and stops) the car runs and accelerate fine.

You will notice a huge difference in your mpg when you change it. It should be changed every 30k. It always pays for itself anyways.....just so long as you do it yourself.

According to Acura/Honda maintenance guide, this is correct. In their documents a fuel filter needs replacement, when the pressure is below a certain threshold. Which is true, but I'm not sure how many DIYers or mechanics regularly check their fuel pressure at the filter point, until there's a problem.

A clogged fuel filter that is affecting fuel pressure, mostly leads to a premature fuel pump failure. A fuel filter is only $20, a fuel pump is a lot more. Also a "life of a car" to a dealer is typically 100k-150k. But with good maintenance, that can be extended by 2 or 3 folds.

I changed the filter over the weekend.
It was pretty easy except for the bottom part.
Two people would've made the change much easier.

I have a 3.0, but if you post a picture of your engine bay, i'm sure we can point it out to you.

The filter on a 3.0 is in the back of the engine bay, along the firewall. You have to take off the back bay covers to see it.

Filler cap, is gas tank cap (this is the cap you remove when you put fuel into your car).

The top bolt is #40 in the pic below:
