has anyone here taken off their front plate off? I just did and it looks way better. Probably illegal but ill leave it off for awhile. Has anyone been pulled over for this?

U will never get pulled over for just a front plate unless the cop is a real dick. But if you get pulled out for any other reasons, they will sure site you for the no front plate. Some officer might let you get away but its very unlikely because they need your money to pay for their coffee and donuts. From my experience about 1 out of 5 cops let me get away with no front plate, but I still won't put it back on because it look ugly ass fuck.

I dont understand why they are so anal about front plates... 99% of the time they follow a car from the back, pull a car over from behind, etc. everything is done up our ass...

I still don't see the point of the front plate...

 

 

they use it for cameras n shit(like running a red light in certain situations)...

but what doesnt make sence to me is if the car doesnt have a place for a front lisence plate. they dont need a front lisence plate (corvette) which is retarted and unfair...

 

when i got pulled over.. (i had my front plate on) cop said my plate was too low.. "it must be 23 inches above the ground" i have mine to the driver side bottom grill (jdm style) and my car is lowered.. but berely. fcken cop

i got pulled over for no front plate, and then he walked around and said my tint was illegal too.
i gave him a bs story about scraping the plate off on someone's driveway and he gave me a warning for that... but wrote me up for tint
luckily i threw another bs story at the station and they signed off the tint ticket

not around here.. all cars need them, corvette, yugo, whatever

 

Been ticketed twice for no front plate and having a license plate cover. Also pulled over by a lazy ass cop with nothing better to do. After he lectured me, he went back to his bike for a smoke.... he waited until he finished the smoke and then issued me the ticket.. wasted 30 minutes of my life.

 

I got mine under the windshield on the passenger side. No problems so far.

If I ever get in trouble for it, I'm probably gonna bs through it. Probably gonna bring up the fact that I need a mount and whatnot for the plate to fit because of the bumper, blah blah blah.

 

Just tell them, no sir I will not drill holes in my bumper

Just today I posted in this thread that I'm good with driving with no front license plate.


So I'm driving home tonight, 10:50pm, empty road, 40MPH. Just a block away three cops pulled over some dude. So as I'm driving away from that, a cop is going the opposite direction and turns around behind me. He catches up, pulls me over and this is what he says.

"Your driving was good, I pulled you over for not having your front license plate."

Deep down inside, I was mad as hell. It's like he had nothing else to do. Maybe he wanted to get on the three-cop-vs-one-civilian case but they didn't let him. Maybe he's just a jerk like that.

Anyway he gives me a fixing ticket and I got about a month to fix it.

So I guess my front license plate is TEMPORARILY going on my front bumper..... somewhere.
