front mud guards gone...what about the back?

hello boys,

I got a burst of energy and debadged my car this morning the "Acura" & "2.3 CL" are gone...not gonna mess w/ the big giant "A" because i dont want any holes in my trunk, but wow, u guys were right, what a difference it makes, i LOVE it!!!

well, then i got to thinking about the mud guards, the front ones were a piece of cake, the back ones however were a different story. I couldn't get the wheels to turn so i could fit the screwdriver in there...

any suggestions as to how I can remove the back ones????

Thanky

hey there,
why are you removing the mudguards? i'm trying to picture what it would look like but i'm drawing a blank - i'll go look at the car and see (-: i was thinking about getting some for the rear but they're pretty pricey friom the dealer and i haven't seen any aftermarket that i would want
ANYWAY, your going to need a snubby-type screwdriver or a 45 degree one, or a ratchet with a screwdriver attatchment (-:

hey...well just got to thinking about it, that rubber strip around the bottom of my car is already painted red and the mud guards weren't. To me, it looked unfinished and it didnt flow, i'm not going muddin' anywhere in my CL...so why do i need them, they just junk it up, IMO.

after removing the front ones...it makes a world of difference...looked much cleaner, much classier...glad i did it!

and thanks for the info on the screwdrivers guys...have to go buy one now...

I took mine off to be painted, and i hate the car without them. It gets filthy and where the quarter panel and door meets looks funny for some reason. I was thinking about getting some rears and painting them up, but i have been too lazy. The rear stays cleaner than the doors though.

really? thanks for the heads up...

i never had a problem when i took them off my accord...as far as the doors getting dirty, but if they get dirty i guess i'll just wash 'em.

I also thought about painting them, but if i'm gonna put any money into the CL, i'd rather use it towards the drop...not painting the mud guards...so off they went

why not get some mud guards with a pick of Taz or Yosemite Sam and caption saying, "Back Off". You could get the really cool ones that are like half chrome. then a bumper sticker that says, "Keep honking, I'm re-loading", and lastly a license plate frame that says, I'd rather be fishing,,,,,, sorry i'm off the deep end again.
seriously though on my way in to work this guy parks in my garage sometimes --guy has a 500 series benz with SL500 chromy things (LIKE 6) all over the car, two Pep Boys wick wack fog lights ON THE REAR BUMPER, and some fucked up TWO rear winsheild wiper mod on the BACK!!!!!! THIS LOOKS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
and i always forget my camera on days he's there --i gotta get pics!

nah i was just venting because i see so many STUPID things done to cars --- had nothing to do with your mud guards --they just reminded me of the ones that say "Back Off" and i just wonder why people spend money on some stuff...then again i have 4 perfectly good wheels and i went out and bought four new ones only bigger - i have a perfectly running engine but i want a H22 - hmm.....
Tazmanian Devil Mudflaps/guards that say Back Off $20.00
H22 Honda Prelude engine Swap $3,700.00

ok maybe i'm the dork

nah............................ I'll taken the engine please (-:

cya,
good luck with ur drop :P
