lol yehp. white faces always look ricey to me, same thing goes with those chrome gauge rings. if you want to be different, solder on some red LEDs to the back of your gauge. i think hybrid did that. looks hot. SOOOO JDM!. lol

your best bet is to find a used cluster from a honda accord and swap the temp gauge

same shit happened to me. i got some for real cheap so i wanted to see what they looked like. i tried it first on my temp gauge and broke the needle right off. right after that i said fuck it. so i got no temp gauge. you can probobly find a gauge cluster for like 75-100 bucks. i'm holdin out for something cheaper...

If you don't bid in time, talk to starboy2nv he has like 5 gauge clusters for sale

And yes you do have to replace the whole thing, IMO led's is the way to go, I bought a set of gauge faces and they weren't for me, i never even installed em, i just sold em to paylahata8 for half what i paid for em cuz i wanted the black gauge look. Threw some green led bulbs in there and it was perfect, and much improved

Oh and don't pay anyone to do it, i've taken mine in and out like 5 times, it's real easy there's a diy if you can't find it lemme know

open up the gauge set, the temp can be replaced. Keep everything else so your mileage lines up and you dont have sell it down the road and mark on the title that the odometer isn't correct. That could hurt any resale value down the road.

Depends on what you see more appropriate, the glass comes off prety easy, and so on, just canibalize whichever way u see fit

yay it came in today, took acouple mins to replace.
take off the 3 screws in the back of the cluster for what you want and it comes out, word of advice though is that the black part with the glass doesnt come with holes for the metal clips ontop and it comes with extra clips on the side that you will have to break off in order for it to fit.

Lets see - your missing one needle, your temp looks high (at least mine is below the C before the car is turned on) and your fuel is over flowing. goodluck!

just be really careful and you'll be fine.

I didn't break mine when I put them on & I don't care if it's ricey. Theres no such thing as a JDM CL anyway.

That's the scrapped Accord cluster he got off ebay... he's just trying to see how it looks when he puts it in the CL...

Besides, Temp/Fuel needle will correct itself when you plug the cluster back into the car....

hm... fuel will correct itself when it senses the floater in the tank. Temp will not correct itself once it's tampered with & goes past the turning point.

I know - Went through 4 different clusters off the civic.

The floater is electrically connected. Its not a hard mechanical linkage, i could be wrong but i'm still *Very* surprised if it actually corrects. The needle had no idea what its pointing at. It only have a specific range of movement. If you move it from its origional place of rest it will still carry its range of movement but point to the wrong (miscalibrated) gauge markings. I've been wrong before though.....

All sending units are electrically connected. I never said there was any hard mechanical linkages. But if your gas tank is empty and your messing around with your fuel gauge and you set the gas needle all the way full - Once you turn on your car it will correct itself.

It's like when your filling up gas in your gas tank. It senses how much you have in there reguardless if you've tampered with it or not. The needle will drop back to the setting of where the sending unit is. There is a resistance plate on those sending units to configure where the needle is suppose to be pointing.

I use to mess with my clusters all the time off my civic. Have never had a problem with miss reading fuel, however the temp needle is a different story.

I buy your resistance story - But the needle hasn't a clue where its pointing. It could be pointing on the other side of the gauge, it doesn't care. The electrical load its getting from the (indirectly) floater only tells the needle how much to move, not where to move to. If you start at 1/4 tank and bump your needle up to 1/2 a tank accidently. When you go to plug it back it, it will still think its at 1/4. Nothing changes resistance wise, its still the same, just pointing to the 1/4 now instead. Incase your tank will be on E but still indicating 1/4th left in the tank because you moved the needle from its set location.

Whatever, spoke with AznTLX yesterday - he fixed his problem.
