Found: CL2.2 underskirt.

I sold my black 97 CL2.2 a while back and a few days ago I was cleaning out my basement and found the underskirt to my old CL. I was so busy in the process of installing a new radiator and a shroud for my electric fan I forgot to put it back on. It would be very interesting to find out who ended up with my car.

Getting another plastic underskirt wouldn't help at all. You would chew the next one up just as fast as the last one you had. You would do better going to a custom shop and getting them to make some type of skidplate for you.

I'll bet your car is jerking during hard cornering isn't it? I was going through a corner really hard once and the car started jerking like crazy. I thought it was the fuel pump but as it turns out it just needed two quarts of oil. Yeah a seal was leaking somewhere on the firewall side of the engine.

I dunno anything about Acura oil pans but I'm thinking you could either take yours off and beat the dent out with a ball peen hammer* or you could also go to the junkyard and take an oilpan off of an Accord engine. I think they share mostly the same components.

If you know a guy with an electric welder all you need to do is go to the junkyard and take a skid plate from any other car (around the catalytic converter or muffler area on most foreign cars) and have the welder guy fabricate you a bracket to hold the skid plate in place over the oil pan.

not so much around corners.. but when it comes to me taking the RPMs pass 4000 then the engine seems to be hitting a rev limiter. but ya.. i need a new oil pan and if the problem persists then i gotta go thru the process of elimation to see if its the oil pump or the actual Vtec solenoid

Exactly. My Scirrocco had skidplate galore. That's why I was suggesting the guy go to the junkyard to find a junked car (perhaps I should have identified OTHER THAN HONDAS/ACURAS), take the skidplate off of it, get a guy with an electric welder to make a brace, connect the skidplate to it and weld it somewhere underneath the oil pan.

The reason why people are talking about skidplates in this thread because some of you are trying to figure out how to protect your undercarriages after slamming your Acuras. To tell you the truth, what you people with slammed Acuras should really do is go to a shop and put your cars on a lift and check everywhere to see where there are scrapes and scratches under the car. I would think some areas of the tranny may be vulnerable too.

A baffled oil pan will solve the issue about oil starvation during HARD cornering. Something I need to resolve as well when building this car.

I already sold the car. I'm just waiting on somebody to show up on Acurazine saying "Hey, where the hell is underskirt, and the owners manual to my damn car!?!"

Whomever baught the car should at least be happy that it's already wired to handle subwoofers in the trunk, two new door speakers, a new tranny, and windshield wiper motor. But the power seat doesn't work. $700 parts and labor at the Acura dealership.
