yes, for sure it is. standing at the front of the car, look on the firewall about a third of the way across from the left. you'll see an orange plug with blue tape.

Bingo!

Did you locate it?

If you need any info on getting or installing fog lights, I'd be happy to help!

Would you happen to know if a 99 2.3CL is wired for fogs? If so is it in the same place and where abouts is the switch inside? Thanks bro

All 1st Gen CLs are wired for Fog Lights.

The factory harness (plug) should be in the same place.

The switch will be mounted where the "knock-out" plate is on the right side of your clock (it pries out with a small, flathead screwdriver).

The factory fog light kit (that you purchase--get it off of eBay) will come with the switch, 2 wiring harnesses, both foglight housings (and horrible H3 bulbs), hardware, plus wire ties.

On our 1997 model, it located opposite the seat heaters (on the right side of the shifter). The plastic "plug" will come out if you pry it with a small flat screwdriver.

The H3 bulbs that come with it are standard hallogen bulbs (that yellowish/white color). I immediately replaced them with HID bulbs.

Look at the diagram. #C355 is where you plug into the factory harness. You'll need to do some custom connecting here, but this is where you connect your PIAAs to the factory harness.

The factory plug (C355) should have blue tape on it

I've never done a "custom" wiring job on the fog lights, so I don't have any first hand experience.

First of all, trying to get the factory plug away from the firewall is a job in itself. I say this because you'll need room to work with it. It was a bitch just trying to get the fog light harness plugged into it. I imagine you would need to cut the plug off of the factory harness and solder your PIAA wires to it.

I don't have a wiring diagram for the factory harness (plug). I only have a diagram for the OEM fog lights.

Could it be that i Don't have a C355? i've got a 97 3.0 Premium

C355 is not in that cluster of three. which btw was a pain to un-hook with that nut in a tight spot.. i took the cluster out and there's nothing but wires. couldn't see another plug.

Here's a photo of where the fog light harness plugs into the factory harness.

The location of the factory harness is directly below where it's seen in the photo (it's the yellow-looking plug). The fog light plug is connected to the orange/red/white wires that I'm holding.

I hope this helps!

Found it but it's got a stupid twist tie thing at the bottom of the car. Tried to cut it off but there's no room to manuouver. Also I have no idea on the polarity of the two orange wires attached to C355. After giving up I dropped my flashlight into the freakin engine... Was scared cause i couldn't reach down to it.. Luckily I reached under my car and managed to pry the stupid thing outta there.. Thanks for the pictures Dustbuster4 but i don't think i can do this. without some help

your wire should be in the same place under the hood, the only thing that would be different is where the plug is located for the switch. On the 98-99 its beside the clock on the 97 its beside the shifter. You will have a hazzard light switch on one side of the clock and a blank on the other side, you have to pry that blank out with a small flat head screwdriver and the wires should be attached to that blank, just take the blank off and hook the fog light switch to it

Thank you for answering my question, great to see some people are still on here to help me out. well i looked again this afternoon about an hour ago and I found no wiring or anything colored a third the way from the left of the car. I'm thinking that maybe the wires got repaired with no colors of orange cap and blue wire. If anyone had a picture it might help a bit more
Also I have looked at the blank but the blank was perfectly flush to the surrounding plastic, there is no designated place to try and pry it open. The only blank ive opened in my car is the small one next to my automatic shifter. Nothing was inside though, so I'm wondering what thatd be for as well?

ok the 97 has one beside the shifter like you are talking about. Thje plug opn the drivers side is for heated seat switch and the one on the passenger side of the shifter is for fog lights and the wiring is attached to that plug but on 98 and 99 I am almost positive its on the other side of the clock. On one side you have the hazard light switch and on the other side its blank. You should be able to pry that blank out and the wiring should be attached to that blank. I have never wired these up myself so I do not have any pictures but I have a 97 so I couldn't take a picture of the blank for you since mine is different than yours. About the wiring I am sure you know this but the left is the drivers side of the car and I have never looked for the wiring I am just going by what everyone else has said about it being there and have never seen one where the wiring wasn't there so it should be there somewhere. They say its hard to get to the plug so it may be under allot of stuff in there but it should be there somewhere, but pictures will have to come from someone else since I haven't looked for the one under the hood and mine in my console is different than yours

Ya, this afternoon I got bored after not finding the wiring under the hood. But i did manage to pry open the blank beside the clock and the plug for a switch is there, so now all I have to do is find it lol.
Also about the switches beside the shifter, I know what those blanks are for, but there is an even smaller blank RIGHT BEDIDE my shifter, thats the one im talking about.

its the lock shifter thingybob. If you can't get your car to go into gear because the computer has locked it out, you can stick something in there and unlock the shifter
