I had a small fire start behind my radio after using my car lighter to spark something up. I have a 1997 2.2 CL. Somthing had to be wrong with my car lighter. Maybe I held the car lighter in to long? Today i took most my dash a part and the only part that needs to be changed is the dash wiring hardress, its burn. The dealer wants about 800.00 dollars for a new one. i'm going to the juckyard tommorw and seeing what i can find. I call the dealer and the part number off a accord is not the same. If anyone has info please post. I will post pic in the morning.

well when I had to light up my managers cigarette that day he forgot his lighter ...... mine automatically popped out when it got to the right temperature

 

i have a aftermarket lighter that you have to hold in to work. This suck because i can't drive my car right now because powerwindows and sunroof does't close and there open. I had to put the car in the garge and take my 1993 rx7 out and leave it in the rain.

 

anyone on this fourm ever change there dash wiring hardes?

 

I took one out when I parted a first gen... Good luck. Its harder than you would think. You have to take EVERYTHING out to get to everything.
