Fingers crossed
I've got a guy out at the delaership auctions today bidding on two CL's for me, so I've got my fingers crossed that we'll get one. Both are 98 2.3's. Both silver. One with grey interior, one with black. Both around 25-30K miles.

Good luck! I agree too bad they aren't 3.0's .
The CL's came with Black interior? Anyone confirm this? Maybe dark grey, but not black??? If someone has a pic of this, I would like to see how it looks.

Cl's either come with a dark grey interior or a tan interior. There is no black and you cant have two different colors on the two cars of the same color (silver) The interior color is based on the exterior color. This is how it was atleast when i bought my '97 back in '97.

Well, still haven't heard back yet, but fingers are still crossed...
I'm going with 2.3 instead of 3.0 because it is a little less and I figure gas mileage and insurance might be a little less. I drove both before choosing and felt that the 2.3 was fine in the power department for a daily driver. I'll be getting another del Sol next year as a show/race car and it will probably pull 12's at the track after I am done with it, so I'll get my speed addiction taken care of with that.
I saw a black CL with black leather interior just last weekend, so they do come with black. I kinda wanted white, but silver is a close second and since the white ones haven't been hitting the auctions the last month, I figured I'd go for my second choice today to see what happens. I'm hoping for the black interior one, but grey is cool too.
He figures he can grab one for around $14K to $15.5K. Says a lot depends on what dealerships are searching for and how soon the car comes up in the auction and weird stuff like that. It's not a science, but I've bought cars through this guy before (so has my family and many of my friends and their families) and he almost always gets them for cheaper than through regular people and ALWAYS for thousands less than dealerships. He also specializes in high end exotics like Porsche, Lamborghinni, Ferarri, etc.

Well, I have the Black 98 3.0 CL. I also still have the company brochure on the car and the only option was tan or dark grey in 98. If Black was an option, I would have gotten that, but I'm very content with the Dark grey...

It's dark grey; I have it... it is called charcoal, as you guys said, and it looks black; actually sometimes when the sun's shining really brightly, it almost looks navy blue, but it's charcoal. Whoever said that it's the closest grey can get to black is right; it's almost black, but not quite. In fact, the only way I can tell that it isn't is Brad's Integra has black interior, and I notice the difference, but it's really small.

All I know is that my DARK RED CL had BLACK leather interior. Call it charcoal if it makes you happy, but to me its black leather, with black carpet.

Naw, just kidding. In the manual they say Charcoal, yes it looks black, but next to a true black interior, you would be able to tell the difference right away...

Arghh...no luck. The guy said that it was a weird day at the auctions. Three of the CL's that we were gonna bid on were starting at almost high blue book. Normally cars start under low blue book and work their way up into the low blue book range. Anything higher and most dealers stop bidding. These got no bids at all because of that screw-up, so maybe next time they will be lower for starters...
