Finally Ordered the Magnaflow

I finally ordered my Magnaflow and went to an exhaust shop to get a price on piping and installation. I was quoted $150 for a 2.25" pipe from the cat to the muffler, and my muffler cost me $150...So total $300 for muffler, piping and installation. Sounds good??

That's too much. I bought this CF exhaust ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW ) for $61.89 w/ shipping and was quoted $150.00 for custom 3" inch piping for a total of $211.89. Not to mention that it's going on a 3.0 not a 2.2.
I think you waisted too much money.

Thats the thing. Ive seen some members on here with the muff like Green Banana's getting and it sticks out past the bumper and I dont like the way it looks. The one you have only has a 4" tip I think and the other one is 7".

Like Shiney says it depends who puts them on, I will definately instruct the guy not to make them stick out too far. I made the mistake of not explaining that to the last fool when I changed my muffler.

I would assume so..How much piping shouldn't really matter, I think the size of the piping is the important thing.

Nice Muffler, I wanted one but didn't want to spend the cash, Put on a 3A muffler with 2.5 piping, My 3.0 sounds like it will eat someone!!! It's way to LOUD I'm allready looking to change it, only had it a month.. DivineCL let me Know how that sounds, was really looking for dual tip options outside of magnaflow that aren't to loud , but I'll go with anything performance that will fit and not wake up the block in idle, that carbon fiber looks kinda sweet.......... AHHH,, my tranny is a dream right at 80k sport shift all the time!!!!!!

Maybe you just need a bigger resonator to muffle the sound. Did they put one on when you did the exhaust?

edit" for Nati

No doubt. It comes with a silencer so I assume it shouldn't be too loud.
I know it's going to look SWEET once I install it next weekend.

No I kept whatever stock one was there aside from the muffler, Yea maybe I could add one and a high flow cat and It would sound better, I like the muffler!! I should say It sounds good just REALLY LOUD the HP boost is there too.. I've been looking for carbon fiber ground effects for our ride " rear, front lip, sides, I think that would look crazy sick with a muffler like that.. "DivineCL" Oh comptech makes silencers for like 30 -40 bucks so you could always change just that part I'm sure they sound good.......

You need some kind of resonator. Your car will be crazy loud without one.
