Fidanza short throw shifter

Ok so, does anyone on the boards have the fidanza short throw shifter?

Do you like it, is it nice... blah blah

I'm about to buy it but I'm not really sure if its good or whatever.

Ready, go.

I dont know much about the fidanza shifter, but I have the forbidden motorsports one for a 94-97 accord in my CL and i highly recommend that one. 3 different settings for what you feel is right. I have mine on the tightest, shortest setting and i love it.

Well the only reason I'm asking is because I can get a really good price on it.

How much was the forbidden?

I've driven a maxima with an aftermarket short shift and im very dissappointed. Very easy to confuse 1 or 3rd, 2nd or 4th. i hated it. Just get a 4th gen prelude shifter and call it a day.

puts a different mounting point on your shifter so that the throws are shorter. My friend had one and hated it. So i'd suggest a true short throw.

I have the DC Sports adapter, and it maybe gives you a 20% throw reduction. Not really enough. I heard a lot of good things about the PSpec one. I'm thinking about getting that one.

Edit:

I just went to Pspec's site and it says this...

"4th and 5th gen Accord, 1st gen Acura CL, and 4th gen Prelude shifters are discontinued. You must swap to the newer 6th gen Accord or 5th gen Prelude shifter box and cables to use the new PSPEC shifter in the older cars."

I guess I'll check out the Forbidden one.

The forbidden motorsports website seems old and no one has replied to my inquiries on that website twice. I wonder if they are still taking orders and shipping out this item. All I want to know is the ETA for shipping. Seems a little shady.

Has anyone ordered a shifter from them recently? I can't find any on ebay.

Shit mang. Not tha answer I was hoping for but thanks for the quick reply. If anyone knows anywhere to get a true short shifter please let me know.

I'd prefer one from Forbidden since I like my aftermarket shift-knob and it has a stock thread on it. Does the Fidanza one have the stock thread on it? I know the PSPEC one requires their own knobs.

paco was telling me that the pspec owner is like my age and machines every thing himself. they still make em for the accords. anything short shifter for a 90-97 accord should work.

but anyone looking for a something along the lines of a short shifter i would go with the 92-96 prelude shifter. i got mine for $30 and the collar bolt thing for like $3.

you sure it wasn't just you not being used to it? i love the short shifter for my Legend. it was a little tricky for 10min to get used to exactly where the gears were but then OMG! actually it may have been in like 3mins lol. i know some ppl say that they have trouble getting into 5 and 6th with the Legend's but i never had trouble with those gears, its basically once u feel the difference then u know. but just to add, i drove a few maxi's with stock shifter and they felt terrible so maybe that was ur problem/??

Okay, so both PSPEC and Fidanza short shifters are really hard to come by lately and seem to be discontinued.

I found one called "AC Autotechnic Short Shifter"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...id=p2759.l1259

Anyone know of this?

I've never heard of them making short shifters, but hey why not give it a try for that price being that its really close to the price of a prelude assembly?
