I broke both of my rear suspension bolts. So I decided to drill them out....well that didnt work, so I had to cut the shock off and am going to have it towed. Boooo. At least i got the front ones on no problem.
Yeah, when I broke mine, I cut off the shock with a saw. Then you gotta press the bushing containing the stuck bolt out, then press a new bushing in, then replace everything. And when I say press, I mean press... as in hydraulic press.
Or, as an alternative, when you break the bolt's head off, you can still gently drive to your nearest garage. It won't be a problem for any shop to take care of this problem.

heh i hear ya. When you pressed out the bushing was it still on the car or did you have to take everything off? Also did you have to press in the new bushing? Sorry for all the questions.

It was still on the car... I used a big ass clamp, a chisel, a sledgehammer, a torch, a saw, and some other unorthodox methods to remove the bushing.
It would be 100x easier to get the car on a lift, remove that suspension arm, and put it in a press to remove the bad bushing. But unfortunately, I don't have those things at home.

So its not just the steel thing in the inside but the whole rubber piece that comes out right?

I had to tear out my bushing in order to get the bolt out. I then carefully put it back in place, installed the shock, took it over to Acura, and they pressed a new bushing into place. They use a 10,000 ppsi press!

Agreed, I couldn't believe how much clamping force I had to put down to get that 1 bushing out.
Just remember to have the shop put antiseize on the new bolt so nobody will ever have to go thru this again.
