im juss curious about the CL's specs...

i was wondering wat the top speed is on a 3.0 CL STOCK
no intake, no header, no exhaust ... BONE STOCK

ive hit 105-110 but i KNOW i can go faster, juss wondering how much faster tho...

I've hit 118-120 mph stock. It wouldn't go much faster!

Well i guess i must be driving it hard or something!! Before any mods to my car i wanted to see how fast it could go and i got it up to 138 mph, with a passenger in the car!!!! Granted it was on a slight incline. I was following behind my friends 98 maxima 5 speed. Seemed like his car was pulling more than mine as soon as we hit 110-120. Our car stops pulling at 100-105, unless u pop it in D3.

damn u guys i have gotten the thing up to about 135 or so but that was with a short ram intake and a vafc but the vafc didnt help any

I didn't say to go to D3 at 105, i said the cars stops pulling at 105. If you pop it in D3 at about 80, you can pull all the way to about 115 before redline. Hell, i have a seven year 100k factory warranty on the tranny and engine anyway!

I've hit 137-139 mph. Bone Stock. I even had a car full of people and a cooler in the trunk.

how do we do it .... just mash the throttle and take 4th gear till it starts bleeding its been a while but 4th should take u up near 100 or so ( like i said its been a while) then full throttle all the way up to 135+ ... i was rockin that speed for a good 5 min on i95 in vermont sweeett ... the car sounds like a dayum jet plane

no bullshit, the first day i owned my 2.2, with nothing aftermarket in it, and a passanger, i was doin 120 for a good 2 hours on cruise controll, and at 100 if you slammed the pedal you'd feel it shift to 3rd and pull quite well into the 100's+++ mines also autobox tranny.....so, im quite surprized with the 2.2 top end!

all I know is when I was going 145+, I was driving in middle of two lanes, and the dotte lines were solid, and like MaCe said, the 2.2 will just hum

And that is with a stock engine, if I had nitrous, 160 easily, b/c as I recall, I was only at 6200rpm or so at 148mph with my fat ass friend in the car with subs

Back in the day ive gotten up to 138 and that was a stock 2.3, but now my cl only goes 25 mph attached to a wrecker so i'd be careful
