Ethan,

AEM kit # 22-408 was only designed and tested for the 94-97 Honda Accord and has not been verified for use on any other model. This kit is not street legal for your 97 Acura CL.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our customer service department by e-mail or at (800) 992-3000.

Thank you for choosing AEM Intakes Systems!

This is a joke, right? What kind of bullshit is that? The whole idea behind making these modifications illegal is that it may increase pollution. Don't they have the machines that actually check the quality of air coming out of the exhaust at the emission stations?

Ethan,

Per R & D No guarantees, we normally don't go back on fitments and E.O. applications. Don't wait for it though, it might not even happen.

Hey Joji,

What's the procedure for getting a similar car approved? I'm on a CL
board with thousands of members, can we get a certain number of
requests for the CL to be tested or how does that work?

LoL, just take your car to a different shop. I've never gotten questioned when I told people that the car uses the same engine as an accord. Whoever told you was probably just being a jackass to you and trying to make money.

yes check the noob guide. But hell anything can be made to fit. Im actually using the cold air portion(the one that goes to the ground off a 97 2.2 accord for my 3.0 cl fits perfect.
