Factory CD changer settings on the 98 CL

I have a 98 CL 3.0 and i bought the Peripheral IPOD2CAR http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/web/ipod2car.asp and had it installed @bestbuy. The unit refused to work although the device claimed compatibility with my car and the response from the tech support people at peripheral was that my factory stereo apparently was not CD changer ready?? I thought all the 3.0 models for 1998 were cd changer ready but apparently am wrong, has anybody used the device or any other aux recommendations coz I cant stand those FM transmitters

I have the Blitzsafe - HON/AUX V.1 - it plugs into the 8-pin round connector on the back of the stock Bose radio. I also have the optional factory tape player, and it still works since you can daisy chain them. The Tape is actually plugged into the head unit, and the blitzsafe is plugged into the tape player. This is for a 1998 3.0 CL Premium.

Reason why I would NEVER trust my car in the hands of ANYONE at best buy.

Just take your deck out and see if its plugged in right. It will take you max 20 minutes...

Hey I searched online tryin to find out if the regular 3.0 cl's came with a cd changer option but with no success,..I looked in the back it does have the changer ouput though. How do you select the AUX/CD changer on the radio anyways? I was told to keep pressing the CD button for a few secs but nothing happens,
Thx.

Well its about damn time!

I believe you just hold the cd button down till it activates the changer controls. But if the HU sees that nothing is there, nothing will happen.
